Barbados reach play off

Despite persistent rain that held up the conclusion of the tie, Barbados beat Number 1 seeds Jamaica 2-1 to reach the Davis Cup Americas Zone Group III semi final playoff in Honduras.

Davis Cup Update

Barbados Senior Davis Cup team started this year’s event on the right foot with a win over the host nation 3-0 at the Country Club, Tegucigalpa, Honduras today.

 

Non-playing captain Kevin Yarde reports that the team didn’t play their best tennis but were good enough to win 3-0 against Honduras.

Grand Raffle!

The Barbados Tennis Association has recently launched a Grand Raffle, the proceeds of which will enable the much needed upgrading of its facilities at the National Tennis Centre, Garfield Sobers Sports Complex. This upgrading will take the form of additional court lighting and the resurfacing of the centre court as well as the overall beautification of the surroundings.
